Village Green Restaurant in Gaitdersburg

Great service. Great food. Just remodeled.

The Village Green is by far my favorite breakfast place in Montgomery County, and I mean countywide the Village Green has the best food, service and coffee consistently out of everywhere I've been. Their staff are amazing, the waitresses manage the morning rush smoothly and know their returning customers favorite drinks and usual plates. Their coffee is always good, not a triple mocha something or other, just fresh and hot and somehow better than I can ever brew at home. Weekday mornings are the hidden secret when you can get a quiet table, I vote to move my office and project meetings here. And while their home fries with grilled onions are amazing, the last word must go to their chicken Phili cheese-steak, one delicious mouth watering bite after another!

I know this place is a staple of Gaithersburg but parking is beyond horrible and it didnt help that the cashier over charged me and then had to get our waitress to correct it. The cashier insisted that it was correct and at one point said she even said she under charged us, which was completely not true. As for the food it was alright but priced right for what your getting. Doubt I'll be revisiting. If you do visit this place, make sure you calculate your own bill to ensure you are paying the correct amount.

If you are not looking for it... You would drive right by. Parking is often an issue as the lot is small and hard to get into. But once inside the staff is quick to take your order and drop off food. You have to stand inline to pay and that's the only real hold up. Breakfast comes up fast and hot. It's ok, but not something I would seek out. The dinning area is full of regulars who grin and hug each other your whole meal. They never make it clear that you are not one of the regulars.Eggs were eggs.Sausage was ok.Home fries tasted like freezer burn.Toast had way too much butter.Ryan liked his waffles and gave the bacon a thumbs up.

I haven't had a sit down meal here as I've only gotten take out due to COVID. However, if you're looking for just a really classic breakfast, this is the spot. I love diners like this place. Limited hours and great breakfast and lunch specials. Weekday breakfast special is what I recommend!

I hope they get another cook because I went there for breakfast about 3 months ago and they gave me uncooked pancakes. Very chewy in the middle, now done, I sent them back. I cook pancakes all the time and know what they look and taste like, terrible and I was shocked because I have been there several times and the was great. I don't know what happened to Village Green.

That one red head server is really rude and nasty. I was the only Hispanic there and compared to how she would treat me and the other fellows ... it felt really uncomfortable. I ordered a coffee and she came and slammed my cup on the table- thought it was going to spill. Slammed my order ticket and my plate of food. I wonder how she treats the people working in the back. Food was great, the lady I had to deal with wasn’t.

A great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The prices are good, food is nicely prepared, and the service is quick and friendly. They just renovated the place and double the dining area size. They updated the decor . Really nice and much more roomy. Glad to be able to dine-in again.

I give this place 3 stars ONLY because the food was a bit cold. i am sure it was due to being curbside pick up. Food was good. People were nice. Would go back again when inside is open.

My family and I have always gone here as a tradition. The food is delicious, well-priced, and arrives in a very timely manner. It’s a small place, so even on a Saturday or Sunday you’re likely to get a table straightaway. It also has a lot of character. The decorations are super cute. And they put lots of jam on your table so you don’t have to ask. If you’re wondering what to order, go before work early in the morning to start a blah day off right. They have a ridiculously low-priced weekday special that basically gives you a whole gigantic breakfast like you’d get at IHOP for nearly half the price. I’d recommend parking at the Mr. Tire next door. If you go to the official Village Green Restaurant parking behind the building, you may never come back out. It’s really difficult to navigate back there and there’s not enough space for cars to go in and out.
